Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with strong Java Backend and DevOps expertise to join a fast-paced engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable distributed systems, developing cloud-native applications, and implementing DevOps best practices. Candidates from leading product companies and large-scale technology environments are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend services and microservices.
• Build robust APIs and distributed systems capable of handling large-scale workloads.
• Develop and optimize cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, SRE, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.

Required Qualifications:

Backend Development:

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java (preferred), Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• Extensive experience developing backend applications and RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles and design patterns.
• Experience working with distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals.

DevOps & Cloud:

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience managing and deploying applications using Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy, ArgoCD, or similar.
• Infrastructure automation experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or related tools.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

Database & Messaging:

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and performance optimization.

Software Engineering Practices:

• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting large-scale internet-facing applications.
• Big Data ecosystem experience including Spark, Flink, MPP platforms, or Data Warehousing.
• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Experience with frontend technologies and UI development.
• Experience with AI/ML platform integrations is a plus.
