Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to support enterprise data warehousing and analytics initiatives within a large, regulated organization. This role will focus on designing and maintaining high-quality data models that enable reporting, analytics, and downstream data products across cloud and on-prem platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with data modeling tools, cloud data platforms, and governance-driven design practices, along with the ability to collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data warehouse and analytical solutions.
Translate business requirements and data rules into scalable and well-structured data designs.
Partner with data stewards, engineers, architects, and business teams to ensure models align with enterprise standards.
Ensure compliance with data governance, metadata, and naming conventions across all models.
Optimize data models for performance through indexing, partitioning, and structural improvements.
Enhance and support existing analytical and common data models, including those sourced from transactional systems.
Provide ongoing support and documentation for data models used across analytics and reporting platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of experience in data modeling and data architecture roles.
Strong hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin / erwin Modeler, iGrafx, or MS Visio.
Experience designing data models within Salesforce environments.
Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Google BigQuery.
Familiarity with data transformation and analytics tools such as dbt.
Understanding of metadata management, data governance, and enterprise data standards.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
