About the Role We're looking for an experienced
SAP ECC Logistics Technical Functional Lead to join a large-scale enterprise environment supporting critical supply chain and operations functions. This is a highly visible role that combines deep functional expertise, technical problem-solving, and leadership responsibilities.
You will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving solution design, production support, integration management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the SAP Logistics landscape. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in
SAP MM, SD, LE, WM, and PP, along with a proven track record supporting complex production environments and Application Management Services (AMS).
What You'll Do Lead SAP Logistics Solutions - Act as the onsite SAP ECC Logistics subject matter expert across MM, SD, Inventory Management, Logistics Execution, Warehouse Management, and Production Planning.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
- Lead solution analysis, functional design, technical specifications, and deployment activities.
- Drive enhancements, integrations, interfaces, reports, forms, and process improvements.
Support Enterprise Operations - Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for business-critical SAP Logistics processes.
- Investigate and resolve complex production incidents involving configuration, ABAP developments, IDocs, APIs, middleware, background jobs, and interfaces.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Ensure application stability, performance, and operational readiness.
Manage Integrations & Testing - Collaborate with ABAP, Basis, Security, Infrastructure, and Integration teams.
- Support cross-functional integrations between MM, SD, WM, PP, FI/CO, and external supply chain platforms.
- Lead system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Review technical designs, transport strategies, and deployment plans.
Drive Operational Excellence - Support release management, change management, transports, cutovers, and production deployments.
- Monitor interfaces, batch jobs, and critical business processes.
- Improve support processes through automation, monitoring, and AI-driven solutions.
- Promote best practices, documentation standards, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Provide Leadership & Guidance - Serve as the primary liaison between onsite stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.
- Mentor support teams and provide technical-functional leadership.
- Ensure service-level commitments and support standards are consistently met.
- Communicate risks, recommendations, and project status to technical and business audiences.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of overall SAP experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on SAP Logistics experience.
- 7+ years supporting SAP Application Management Services (AMS) and production support environments.
- Deep expertise in SAP ECC Logistics modules:
- Materials Management (MM)
- Sales & Distribution (SD)
- Inventory Management
- Procurement
- Logistics Execution (LE)
- Warehouse Management (WM)
- Strong experience configuring and supporting SAP Logistics solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting ABAP developments, IDocs, APIs, middleware, output management, and integration failures.
- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise production environments.
- Strong understanding of procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory management, warehousing, shipping, transportation, and production planning processes.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with SAP EWM integrations.
- Strong understanding of SAP FI/CO integration points.
- Experience leading offshore AMS teams.
- Exposure to automation, monitoring, AI-enabled support solutions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or logistics organizations.
- Consulting or client-facing experience within enterprise SAP environments.
