As a Sr Reliability Engineer, Rotating Equipment, you will provide technical leadership and reliability support for rotating equipment and mechanical systems. This role partners closely with maintenance, operations, technical services, and capital projects to improve equipment reliability, optimize maintenance strategies, and support safe, efficient operations.

What You'll Do
  • Own and report mechanical department administrative and technical key performance indicators at both the local and corporate level
  • Participate in unit HAZOPs for key and critical operating variables that impact mechanical integrity
  • Support department goals by balancing budgetary constraints with technical, reliability, and administrative priorities
  • Provide mechanical reliability input to capital projects for the specification, selection, purchase, and installation of mechanical equipment in compliance with company requirements and applicable industry codes and standards
  • Support participation in rotating equipment reliability networks and share best practices across the organization
  • Develop, implement, and monitor predictive and preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems
  • Provide ongoing mechanical technical support to operations and technical services to improve maintenance quality, equipment performance, engineered modifications, and new equipment installations
  • Identify, monitor, and analyze key mechanical system reliability indicators and drive actions that improve equipment availability and on-stream performance
  • Administer and update mechanical specifications, standards, and procedures
  • Develop mechanical system work scopes for maintenance turnarounds
  • Coordinate turnaround support to ensure required work scope is completed and properly documented
  • Support the effective planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical maintenance activities, including preventive and predictive maintenance

What You'll Bring - Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5 or more years of maintenance or engineering experience with an emphasis on rotating machinery

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to respond to, independently evaluate, plan, and coordinate unexpected repair efforts during emergencies and after-hours call-outs
  • Familiarity with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
  • 10 or more years of experience in refining, power generation, chemical manufacturing, or related industry
  • Results-oriented and resourceful approach to meeting challenging goals

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $141,300 - $172,700.

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
