Summary

Description
The Computer Support Analyst III / Team Lead is a customer-focused technical professional providing advanced Tier III desktop and endpoint support to the University community. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with operational leadership, ensuring high-quality service delivery, efficient issue resolution, and alignment with institutional technology standards.
The Team Lead serves as an escalation point for complex technical issues, oversees ticket management and workload prioritization, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support endpoint initiatives and projects. This position also contributes to asset lifecycle management, endpoint compliance, and security incident response.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the role provides mentorship, onboarding, and day-to-day guidance to support staff, while coordinating team activities and maintaining service standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3-5+ years of enterprise desktop and endpoint support (Windows and macOS)
Experience with endpoint management and deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager, JAMF, MDT)
Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
Familiarity with networking fundamentals, IP management, and print services
Experience with endpoint security tools (e.g., Sophos, Spirion)
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
Certifications (preferred, not required):
  • Dell Tier II and Apple GSX certifications (within 90 days of hire)
  • JAMF Pro 200 certification (within 1 year of hire)

Preferred Qualifications:
5-8 years of relevant experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience working in higher education or large, complex environments
Core Competencies:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple teams
Advanced knowledge of endpoint administration and user workflows
Experience with testing, validation, and change management processes
Ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across an organization

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
