Azure Tech Lead – Enterprise Applications
We are hiring on behalf of a leading Investment Banking Technology team that is expanding its engineering capacity to support multiple enterprise application initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced Azure Tech Lead (Python / C#) to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications within the Investment Banking (IB) Technology vertical. This role will lead the full-stack build of multiple applications, setting technical direction while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership, guiding developers while shaping architecture decisions and overseeing integration with enterprise SaaS platforms and highly sensitive datasets in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Serve as the technical lead across multiple application initiatives within the IB Technology portfolio
• Provide architectural direction and establish engineering best practices
• Lead and mentor a team of Azure Developers (Python/C#)
• Partner closely with product, architecture, and platform teams

Full-Stack Development (Azure-Focused)

• Lead development of cloud-native, full-stack applications on Azure
• Drive modern engineering practices across backend (Python/C#), APIs, and front-end layers
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance

Architecture & System Design

• Own end-to-end solution architecture and design decisions
• Define microservices, API strategies, and data architecture
• Lead system modernization and cloud adoption efforts

API Development & Integration

• Oversee secure API design and implementation
• Lead integration with enterprise SaaS platforms and third-party systems
• Ensure robust and secure data exchange

Security, Data & Compliance

• Enforce best practices for handling highly sensitive datasets
• Implement RBAC, authentication, and authorization models
• Ensure compliance with strict regulatory and audit requirements

Delivery Oversight

• Own delivery quality, timelines, and technical integrity
• Guide CI/CD, DevOps, and release processes in Azure
• Communicate risks and architecture decisions to stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer in enterprise environments
• Deep hands-on expertise in Azure + Python and/or C#
• Proven experience leading full-stack development teams
• Strong background in API development and system integration
• Experience working in regulated or sensitive data environments (financial services preferred)
• Expertise in Azure services (App Services, Functions, Azure AD, etc.)
• Strong system design and cloud architecture experience
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities
