Job Description
A major financial technology enterprise in Dallas, TX is currently seeking an IAM Engineer to join its information security and compliance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing access control strategies and implementing identity management systems that uphold critical security standards for a large-scale, regulated environment.
The position involves the design, deployment, and support of robust authentication and authorization mechanisms, including multi-factor authentication, user provisioning automation, and audit readiness. You'll maintain access lifecycle processes, assess gaps in the current identity architecture, and partner with IT and business units to integrate new tools while ensuring strong data privacy and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and improve IAM solutions across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Implement and support Single Sign-On, MFA, and privileged account management workflows
  • Automate onboarding, offboarding, and access certification processes for users and service accounts
  • Collaborate across security, infrastructure, and development teams to perform risk and access reviews
  • Help define and enforce policies for user and group management, RBAC, and segregation of duties
  • Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of identity-related incidents
  • Ensure all identity services comply with internal controls and industry regulations
Required Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience with IAM technologies (Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, Azure AD, Ping, etc.)
  • Understanding of IAM protocols and standards (OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, SCIM, OpenID Connect)
  • Proficiency with automating workflows using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages
  • Experience performing access reviews, audits, and regulatory reporting for user rights
  • Familiarity with provisioning and deprovisioning tools and strategies
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional background
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on work in large, regulated or highly secure environments (finance, healthcare, etc.)
  • Exposure to cloud identity and access management for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience in risk management, compliance documentation, and audit support
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CIAM, or vendor-specific credentials
Day-to-Day
  • Fully hands-on position dedicated to deploying, troubleshooting, and updating access control systems
  • Routine performance of user access reviews, reporting, and documentation to maintain security and compliance posture
  • Regular collaboration with other security and infrastructure professionals to ensure IAM initiatives are synchronized with corporate goals
