Where You'll Make a Difference
  • Design, plan and execute laboratory and pilot-scale experiments that support new product development and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Support New Product Introduction activities by developing experimental plans, collecting and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and preparing technical reports.
  • Prepare technical batch reports, including data interpretation, conclusions, and recommendations for future process optimization.
  • Coordinate the preparation of sample batches for customer evaluations and internal development activities.
  • Lead manufacturing trials and scale-up activities, translating laboratory processes into safe and effective commercial production methods.
  • Develop temporary batch instructions and process change documentation to support non-standard manufacturing activities.
  • Participate in Hazard and Operability Studies, safety reviews and risk assessments to promote safe and compliant operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Research and Development, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to drive project execution and continuous improvement.
  • Support capital and investment projects by contributing to engineering specifications, equipment commissioning and startup activities.

What Makes You the Right Fit
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing or research environment.
  • Experience supporting engineering activities for capital investment projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of process development, scale-up principles and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience analyzing technical data and using spreadsheet software and other tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Effective organizational, prioritization, and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while building strong partnerships across cross-functional teams.

How Would You Stand Out?
  • Experience in fragrance, flavor, specialty chemical or consumer product manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of process safety management principles, process hazard analysis methodologies, or manufacturing risk assessment tools.
  • Experience supporting equipment startup, technology transfer and commercialization activities for new products.
