Senior Power Platform Developer (Copilot Studio)

Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

This is an individual contributor position responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing enterprise-grade AI agents and automation solutions. The role operates at a mid-to-senior level, applying Power Platform and integration expertise to shape solution design and implement scalable agent-based workflows. The developer will serve as a technical partner to business stakeholders, product owners, and platform teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Copilot Studio agents, including topic modeling, dialog orchestration, and action invocation.
  • Own and implement end-to-end agent solutions spanning Teams experience, Power Automate workflows, and Dataverse data models.
  • Translate business workflows and operational requirements into durable agent and automation designs.
  • Develop complex Power Automate cloud flows incorporating orchestration logic, error handling, and retries.
  • Design and manage Dataverse data models to support agent state, session context, and auditability.
  • Define and apply integration patterns using standard connectors, custom connectors, and REST APIs.
  • Participate in and contribute to design and solution reviews, identifying risks and opportunities for reuse.
  • Establish reusable flow templates, agent patterns, and Dataverse conventions to improve consistency and scalability.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience building production-grade Power Platform solutions, including Copilot Studio agents and complex Power Automate flows.
  • Strong experience designing end-to-end workflows that integrate multiple systems and persist durable state using Dataverse.
  • Proven ability to model data and solution behavior with enterprise qualities in mind, including security, auditability, performance, and scalability.
  • Experience integrating with enterprise systems using connectors and REST APIs; familiarity with custom connector patterns is preferred.


Technical Skills:
  • Microsoft Copilot Studio agent development.
  • Power Automate workflow orchestration and automation engineering.
  • Dataverse data modeling, relationships, security roles, and business rules.
  • Enterprise integration patterns and API-based system connectivity.
  • Low-code / pro-code hybrid solution design.
  • Error handling, resiliency, and operational supportability patterns.


Professional Skills:
  • Ability to influence solution quality and technical outcomes through standards and guidance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solution documentation, design review, and technical communication.
  • Enterprise security, governance, and compliance awareness.
