Job Summary:
The Oracle DBA is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, performance tuning, and security of Oracle database systems. This role ensures high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of databases supporting critical business applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills
Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c, 21c)
Expertise in RMAN backup and recovery
Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and ASM
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming
Performance tuning using AWR, ADDM, ASH reports
Experience with database patching and upgrades
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
Scripting skills (Shell, Python)
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI)
Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate replication
Experience with Exadata systems
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Ansible, Jenkins)
Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Education
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Oracle certifications (OCA/OCP/OCE) preferred
