Job DescriptionYou will be the Air Vehicle Health Management / IVHM Systems Engineer - Level 2 for the Vehicle Systems Directorate, working on the Diagnostics, Prognostics, and Health Management (DPHM) Team.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Air Vehicle Health Management / IVHM Systems Engineer - Level 2, you will be working on an Agile scrum team to design and maintain diagnostic and prognostics capabilities for air vehicle systems and sub-systems. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, analyze, and mature the DPHM capability by understanding system engineering, model-based systems engineering, aircraft systems/subsystems and design, testability analysis, built-in-test (BIT) analysis, and failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA).
"Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, analyzing, and maturing the DPHM capability to detect and isolate root cause failures within an air vehicle and drive maintainer corrective actions for troubleshooting and resolution.
- Evaluating capability functions, assessing operational performance, and identifying and planning capability maturation opportunities for all Air System DPHM capabilities.
- Coordinating with Technical Leads to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, following established schedules and work plans.
- Leading, generating, and coordinating schedules with stakeholders, and briefing project status to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
- Interacting with management, hardware engineering teams, software development, and vendors to achieve program diagnostic and prognostic objectives.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant technical degree
Experience with data analysis using Python, SQL, Spark, and/or Tableau.
Desired skills Prefer advanced degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering
Experience analyzing data logs/timelines from Aviation Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, or Air Vehicle software.
Experience with Agile practices and Methodologies
Proactive engagement with team members to resolve technical issues.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering languages (including SysML)
Experience with diagnostic modeling in any of the following tool sets; Cameo, DSI eXpress, Siemens Xcelerator/MADe, Dassault System 3DX.
Good problem solving and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (i.e. the ability to communicate complex analysis with clarity and precision)
Demonstrated experience and integration of Aviation Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, or Air Vehicle software.
Experience developing failure mode effects analysis and built-in-test (BIT) design.
Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, or Prognostics & Health Management capability development in commercial or military aviation.
Familiarity with standard applied machine learning and data mining techniques.

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
