Job Description:
Technical Project Manager

Location: Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburg, PA (4 days onsite per week.)

Length: 6+ month Temp-to-Perm

Rate Range: $80 - $85/hour W2

Role Overview

This role is a technical project management opportunity within a cybersecurity team supporting enterprise PKI, certificate lifecycle management, cryptography, and post-quantum cryptography initiatives. The position is ideal for an individual who has worked in cybersecurity or technical infrastructure environments and enjoys coordinating complex technical efforts, maintaining documentation, supporting change activity, and working closely with engineering teams. The role is a balance between technical awareness and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support technical project management for cybersecurity initiatives related to PKI, certificate lifecycle management, cryptography, and post-quantum cryptography readiness.
  • Assist with vendor Proof of Concepts (POCs) and help gather, organize, and document vendor-related information.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, process documentation, knowledge base content, and architectural diagrams.
  • Coordinate change management activities, including preparing change tickets, attending required meetings, and aligning with other impacted teams.
  • Track project activity, capture meeting updates, follow up on action items, and help keep multiple workstreams organized.
  • Partner with engineering resources who will handle hands-on technical work while keeping project activity organized.
  • Support vendor evaluation activities, including gathering information from vendors and supporting the team through POC work.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Experience in cybersecurity and technical project management. Prior experience working in cybersecurity environments is important, with exposure to PKI, certificates, cryptography, or related security infrastructure. Experience supporting technical project plans, project tracking, stakeholder communication, and change control processes is required.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with PKI, certificates, certificate lifecycle management, cryptography, and related security concepts. The candidate should be comfortable with technical conversations and able to translate technical details into project documentation. Strong documentation skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ServiceNow for change tickets and change management is helpful.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence for tracking work and maintaining project documentation is beneficial.
  • Exposure to cloud Key Management Service (KMS) tools is a plus.
  • Ability to create or support architectural documentation and diagrams; Visio experience would be beneficial.
  • Awareness of Hardware Security Module (HSM) concepts is helpful, although hands-on work is not expected.
