Role: AI-First Full Stack Architect
Location: Remote
Duration: Contract role with possible hire
We are looking for an AI-First Full Stack Architect for one of our Healthcare clients.
Someone who can own the technical architecture across the platform while remaining hands-on with the code. You should be comfortable making architectural decisions, defining engineering standards, and building production-ready software across the frontend, backend, database layer, and cloud infrastructure.
You will design systems that scale, write code that goes into production, and lead by example. You will be expected to move at a pace that only works when AI tooling is embedded into your development workflow rather than being something you occasionally use. Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development tools is essential.
The platform is a HIPAA-compliant, cloud-native EHR built FHIR-native from the start.
The stack is TypeScript end-to-end, runs on AWS, and is designed for AI-assisted development from the inside out.
Hono on Lambda for the serverless backend. React 19 with Vite for the SPA. Drizzle for the ORM. tRPC paired with REST and FHIR for the API layer.
Every architectural decision in the platform is intended to maximize AI-assisted software development while maintaining scalability, security, and maintainability. The engineering team ships at a pace that is only possible when the first draft of code generated by Claude or Cursor is production-ready with minimal iteration.
You will work closely with Product Leadership and the engineering team to evolve the platform architecture. While the core foundation already exists, you will be responsible for guiding its evolution, reviewing technical designs, mentoring engineers, ensuring architectural consistency, and challenging design decisions whenever a better long-term approach exists instead of simply working around them.
