Network Engineer I for our premier client in
St Louis, Missouri.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or business.
Must-have skills:- Strong communication skills
- Working understanding of IP networking (expert level not required)
- Solid organizational skills
Nice-to-have skills:- Wireless/cellular experience
- Broader networking background (CCNA/CCNP not required)
WHAT YOULL DO:Job Responsibilities:- Manages all WAN-connected devices, which are either wireless (cell modems) or wired (fiber-connected routers).
- This role is the wireless side, specifically AMI (Automated Metering Infrastructure) devices.
Core focus- Signal propagation for 900 MHz wireless networks, using the EDX software package. This is a good portion of the role.
- Cellular-connected devices that attach to the AMI system.
Day to day- Working with field crews and vendors to deploy AMI equipment.
- Configuring cellular devices for field deployment.
- Supporting the AMI network across the full deployment lifecycle.
