We are seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Power Platform Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse). The specialist will transform complex datasets into intuitive dashboards, reports, and interactive applications that enable stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions as well as support our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Visualization & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Transform raw data into compelling visualizations that communicate insights clearly and effectively.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and usability across reporting solutions.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.
- Power Platform Development
- Build and maintain solutions in Power Apps to streamline workflows and enhance business processes.
- Develop automated workflows in Power Automate to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Integrate data across multiple internal and external sources (Dataverse, Salesforce, Azure SQL, etc.) into a unified Power Platform solution.
- Monitor and maintain Power Platform solutions to ensure consistent performance and availability for daily operational reliability.
- Stay current with Power Platform capabilities and recommend enhancements to maximize business value.
Data Management & Governance
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable data solutions.
- Implement data quality checks, governance standards, and documentation best practices.
- Assist in role-based security and access management for reports and applications.
- Maintain accurate data definitions, mappings, and change logs to ensure consistency across solutions.
- Participate in audits, reviews, and continuous improvement activities related to data management.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders, analysts, and technical teams to gather and document requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions while ensuring usability and adoption.
- Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to end users.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 1-3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform tools.
- Exposure to SQL, DAX, Power Query (M), JSON, Power Fx and data modeling.
- Supported advanced data analytics tasks such as statistical analysis, trend identification, and integration of diverse data sources
Technical Skills
- Experience in Power BI dashboards, reports, and data transformations.
- Exposure to Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse and other data sources.
- Experience working with cloud data sources (Azure SQL, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain operational reliability of Power Platform solutions.
- Understanding of data modeling and relational structures.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance principles.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power Platform or Power BI certifications.
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake)
- Exposure to advanced analytics or machine learning integrations.
