Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Work Arrangement: 3 day in office with 2 day WFH
Client Industry: Banking
Duration: 12 -18 months Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday
About the Role
Description:
The Oracle Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Oracle database applications, PL/SQL programs, and reporting solutions. In addition to strong technical expertise, this role requires exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with business users, project managers, architects, QA teams, and production support teams
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database objects, including:
PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
Tables, views, indexes, and materialized views
Performance tuning and query optimization
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform root-cause analysis and resolve production issues.
Create technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and deployment plans.
Support application releases, code promotions, and change management activities.
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and data governance standards.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions and design reviews.
Clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Provide status updates, risks, and dependencies to management.
Collaborate with QA, developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver solutions on schedule.
Document solutions thoroughly and maintain high quality technical documentation.
Participate in client meetings and confidently present technical recommendations.
Required Technical Skills
Oracle Database (12c/19c or later)
Advanced PL/SQL development
SQL performance tuning
Data modeling and database design
Version control tools (Git, Bitbucket)
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications
- Develop high-performance PL/SQL code optimized for Oracle Exadata environments.
Leverage Oracle Exadata features such as Smart Scan, Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC), Storage Indexes, and Parallel Query to improve database performance.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: 63$-65$ per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
