Vaco is actively seeking a Senior EDI Analyst for a long-term consulting opportunity with an internationally respected leader in their field.
Position Summary
The EDI Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting end-to-end customer onboarding through supply chain EDI transactions. This role sits at the intersection of IT, operations, and external trade partners by ensuring seamless data exchange, accuracy, and reliability across the order-to-cash lifecycle.
This requires experience developing EDI interfaces across multiple Order-to-Cash / Supply Chain exchanges primarily involving 850, 855, 860, 856, and 810 standards.

Position Summary
The EDI Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting end-to-end customer onboarding through supply chain EDI transactions. This role sits at the intersection of IT, operations, and external trade partners by ensuring seamless data exchange, accuracy, and reliability across the order-to-cash lifecycle.
This requires experience developing EDI interfaces across multiple Order-to-Cash / Supply Chain exchanges primarily involving 850, 855, 860, 856, and 810 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supply chain customer onboarding initiatives, coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to enable EDI connectivity and transactional readiness.
- Design, implement, and support EDI integrations using core transactions including 850 (Purchase Order), 855 (Purchase Order Acknowledgment), 856 (Advance Ship Notice), 810 (Invoice), and 860 (Purchase Order Change).
- Translate business requirements and operational workflows into compliant EDI mappings and technical specifications.
- Validate end-to-end transaction flows, ensuring data integrity, timing accuracy, and alignment with customer-specific implementation guides.
- Troubleshoot EDI exceptions and failures, performing root-cause analysis across applications, integrations, and partner systems.
- Collaborate with supply chain, customer service, finance, and logistics teams to ensure EDI processes support real-world operational constraints.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline onboarding timelines, reduce manual touchpoints, and improve partner satisfaction.
- Maintain documentation for EDI mappings, partner profiles, onboarding playbooks, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on knowledge of ANSI X12 transactions including 850, 855, 856, 810, and 860 is required.
- Experience coordinating EDI integrations within supply chain, logistics, or order management environments.
- Strong understanding of order-to-cash and procure-to-pay practices and processes.
- Prior experience on the supplier-side of data exchange processes is desired.
- Ability to analyze business processes, manage small to medium projects, and apply project management techniques within a cross functional environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to ensure a reliable and professional partner onboarding experience.

- Employment Type: 6 to 12+ Months
- Schedule: Monday – Friday / 8a – 5p (CST)
- Location: Memphis preferred, Remote acceptable
- Target Compensation: $50.00 per hour
