Job Title: Network Architect - LOCALS ONLY

Location: Pittsburgh, PA / Chicago, IL (Day 1 Onsite)

Work Mode: Client Location (No REMOTE / No RELOCATION)

 

 

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level

network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network architecture, security,

cloud networking, and large-scale transformations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic

thinking, and hands-on technical capabilities to support complex client environments.

Key Responsibilities

 Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network architectures across

enterprise environments.

 Lead network transformation initiatives, including modernization, cloud adoption, and hybrid

network solutions.

 Develop network standards, frameworks, and best practices aligned with business and security

requirements.

 Architect solutions involving LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, data centers, and multi-cloud environments

(AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, infrastructure) to ensure seamless

integration.

 Evaluate and recommend networking technologies, tools, and vendors.

 Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers and operations teams.

 Conduct network capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization.

 Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.

 Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis.

 Support pre-sales activities including solution design, proposals, and client presentations.

Required Skills & Expertise

 Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).

 Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, VPNs, and network virtualization.

 Deep knowledge of network security (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust architecture).

 Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, hybrid connectivity).

 Proficiency in data center networking (Spine-Leaf architecture, VXLAN, EVPN).

 Familiarity with load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC, NGINX).

 Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform).

 Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.).

 Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

 Bachelor’s or Masters in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

 Industry certifications such as:

o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) / Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)

o AWS / Azure Networking Certifications

 Experience working in large enterprise or consulting environments.
