Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to partner closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers at a leading financial services company. The ideal candidate combines hands-on Java engineering, solution architecture, cloud technologies, and AI integration to deliver scalable solutions in a client-facing environment.

Technical Leadership & Engineering

·       Design, develop, and deploy enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

·       Lead solution architecture, technical design, and hands-on implementation.

·       Translate business challenges into technical requirements and deployable solutions.

·       Build REST APIs, backend services, and enterprise integrations.

·       Diagnose complex issues across development, integration, and production.

Forward Deployed Engineering

·       Engage directly with client teams to identify modernization and automation opportunities.

·       Prototype, customize, and deploy solutions rapidly as business needs evolve.

·       Own delivery from discovery and architecture through implementation and deployment.

·       Bridge business operations, product management, and engineering.

·       Deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions in regulated financial environments.

AI/ML & Intelligent Automation

·       Identify practical opportunities to embed AI/ML in enterprise applications.

·       Integrate LLM APIs, AI-powered services, and automation into Java systems.

·       Support AI-driven workflows for credit processing, financial operations, and decision support.

·       Collaborate with AI and data teams to operationalize solutions.

·       Evaluate generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI agents.

Required Qualifications

·       8+ years in enterprise software development and technical solution delivery.

·       Strong Java, Spring Boot, REST API, and microservices experience.

·       Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure and distributed systems.

·       Experience with enterprise integrations, SQL, and system architecture.

·       Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.

·       Strong client-facing communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Banking, lending, consumer finance, or financial services background.

·       Exposure to AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and intelligent automation.

·       Experience connecting Python-based AI services with Java applications.

·       Familiarity with credit operations, loan origination, or underwriting.

·       Experience leading engineering initiatives and working with security and compliance requirements.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on technical leader who can work directly with business teams, understand financial workflows, architect solutions, and actively contribute code. Strong Java engineering experience and practical AI integration exposure are particularly valuable.
