Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager - IT & Cloud Infrastructure
Role Overview
We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead our IT and Cloud infrastructure procurement strategy. You will serve as the primary commercial advisor for our IT business partners, responsible for managing a large-scale, global IT spend portfolio. This role goes beyond traditional procurement; you will be tasked with building long-term category strategies, driving competitive bidding processes, and leading high-stakes negotiations that balance cost-efficiency with operational quality.
This is a role for a sophisticated negotiator who understands both the technical "language" of IT-including cloud architecture and software licensing models-and the "commercial language" of complex master agreements and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute multi-year category strategies to optimize IT spend. Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, ensuring procurement strategy aligns with the company's broader digital transformation goals.
Relationship Management: Build deep, proactive partnerships with internal IT stakeholders to identify sourcing opportunities, project timelines, and renewal schedules well in advance.
Market Intelligence: Serve as an internal expert on global software and cloud markets, tracking product innovations, pricing trends, and competitive landscape shifts.
Negotiation & Commercial Excellence
Contract Leadership: Lead the end-to-end negotiation process for complex Enterprise Software Agreements and Cloud services. Navigate the red-lining process for Master Agreements and SOWs with precision.
Risk Mitigation: Collaborate effectively with matrix partners-including Legal, Information Security, and Privacy-to ensure all agreements meet compliance standards while delivering high commercial value.
Financial Accountability: Own the tracking of savings and competitive events. Maintain rigorous documentation to ensure your category serves as the "source of truth" for spend and performance metrics.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience in IT software procurement, with a proven track record of managing large-scale contract spend (e.g., $50M+ annual portfolio).
Technical/Commercial Fluency: Deep experience negotiating both large-scale enterprise agreements and niche software/SaaS contracts.
Contracting Mastery: Advanced ability to read, interpret, and red-line complex legal and commercial terms within Master Agreements and SOWs.
Communication: Exceptional ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at the executive level.
Preferred Attributes
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain; MBA is highly preferred.
Systems Proficiency: Experience with enterprise-grade procurement/sourcing platforms (e.g., Ariba or similar).
Agility: Proven success in dynamic, fast-moving environments where priorities shift and critical milestones must be met despite ambiguity.
