Genesis10 is currently seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) / Senior Scrum Master for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Irving, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Senior Scrum Master to support a critical Balance Sheet product area in an enterprise environment. This role serves at the product-area level, providing agile leadership across a minimum of 3-4 delivery teams. The RTE will enable predictable, efficient delivery by coordinating release planning, removing cross-team impediments, and driving scaling strategies while working closely with product, technology, and business partners.
Responsibilities: - Serve as the Release Train Engineer / Lead Scrum Master for a product area supporting multiple agile teams
- Facilitate team-level Scrum execution while operating at the product area level with product partners
- Enable delivery planning, execution, and dependency management across multiple teams
- Remove systemic and cross-team impediments impacting delivery flow
- Support resource and capacity adjustments when delivery needs shift
- Lead and influence agile scaling and transformation efforts
- Apply deep knowledge of agile principles, Scrum, and scaling strategies to improve delivery efficiency
- Support modernization initiatives, including cloud migration to Azure
- Coordinate enterprise release delivery activities and support change and release management processes
- Coach Scrum Masters, teams, and leaders toward high-performing agile behaviors
- Communicate effectively across technical, product, and business stakeholders
- Drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements: - 5+ years of Scrum or Agile experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
- Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer, Lead Scrum Master, or Senior Scrum Master
- Experience supporting multiple agile teams simultaneously (minimum of 3 teams)
- Strong background in agile transformation and scaling
- Experience operating in a large, enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum practices
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to operate beyond tooling and understand delivery outcomes and business context
- Proactive, delivery-focused, and experienced in coaching teams
- Experience with Jira, ServiceNow (Change Requests), Confluence, and SharePoint
Desired skills: - Experience in financial services, especially treasury or balance sheet-related domains
- Experience with cloud transformation initiatives
- Exposure to or understanding of evolving AI delivery lifecycles
Pay range: $58.75 - $66.75 per hour
