As a cloud architect on our team, you'll translate your customer's IT needs and future goals into a plan by crafting architecture products. With your guidance, we'll help transform the way the U.S. Navy uses technology including cloud migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems. What You'll Work On:
  • Lead the design, development, and integration of ashore and afloat network and cloud-agnostic system architectures to meet operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, program managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless system performance.
  • C ond uct system assessments, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements for optimal performance.
  • Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Lead the design of architectures for Windows Server-based enterprise IT systems and management tools.
  • Collaborate with systems and network engineering teams to assess current -state environments and identify migration dependencies.
  • Develop detailed work load migration plans, including timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with technical and program managers to ensure alignment of architecture plans with broader project goals and timelines.
  • Provide guidance and oversight during implementation phases to ensure architectural compliance.
  • Scale delivery of modern systems engineering best practices, including digital engineering, automation, and orchestration across both systems and network solutions.

You Have:
  • 12+ years of experience with enterprise systems engineering in a DoD environment spanning multiple enclaves or security domains
  • Experience with Red Hat and Micro sof t enterprise technologies, virtualization platforms, or hybrid cloud services
  • Experience with SAN, HCI, and backup or DR architectures
  • Experience supporting deployable or tactical IT environments, and with DoD cybersecurity compliance, including RMF or STIGs
  • Knowledge of Voice, Video and IP-based communications systems
  • Experience with Architecture, design, and implementation of secure AWS and Azure cloud environments
  • Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure using infrastructure as cod ( IaC ) principles
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science, Information Technology, or Engineering field
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNASecurity, GSEC, or SSCP Certification within 30 days of start date


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience applying core systems engineering concepts, processes, practices, and procedures in technical assignments
  • Experience across enterprise-level platforms encompassing servers, storage, networking, sof tware, and application services or equivalent depth within a single technical domain
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating with senior-level stakeholders and organizational leaders
  • Knowledge of RF and SATCOM communication networks
  • Ability to mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and technical excellence
  • Possession of excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced Cybersecurity Certification such as CASP+ or CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
