Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Duration: 6+ Months with Possible Contract to hire

Locations: Can work in any of these 3 locations ( Huntsville, AL OR King of Prussia (KOP), PA OR Littleton, CO)

Schedule: 5/40-1st Shift

Job Description:


We are seeking a Level 2 Mechanical Design Engineer (3-5 years' experience) to support engineering design, product development, and configuration activities for advanced mechanical and electromechanical systems. This position requires hands-on proficiency with CREO 10, engineering data management tools, strong CAD modeling, and applied GD&T skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CREO 10.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and compliance with ASME standards.
  • Use DSR6 and internal drawing release standards to produce complete design packages.
  • Manage engineering documentation and configuration control using EPDM or related Product Data Management systems.
  • Support engineering teams in prototype development, testing, validation, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality, and program teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering change processes.
  • Ensure adherence to all engineering standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work fully onsite and maintain eligibility for access to Export Controlled Information (ECI)
Qualifications:
  • Mechanical or electromechanical design engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with CREO 10 (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings).
  • Experience using DSR6 (or similar drawing/dimensioning release standards).
  • Proficiency with EPDM or similar Product Data Management software.
  • Strong understanding and application of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Ability to create accurate drawings, BOMs, and engineering design documentation.
  • Ability to work onsite at one of the listed locations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
