Job Description:
We are seeking a
Level 2 Mechanical Design Engineer (3-5 years' experience) to support engineering design, product development, and configuration activities for advanced mechanical and electromechanical systems. This position requires hands-on proficiency with
CREO 10, engineering data management tools, strong CAD modeling, and applied GD&T skills.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CREO 10.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and compliance with ASME standards.
- Use DSR6 and internal drawing release standards to produce complete design packages.
- Manage engineering documentation and configuration control using EPDM or related Product Data Management systems.
- Support engineering teams in prototype development, testing, validation, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality, and program teams.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering change processes.
- Ensure adherence to all engineering standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Work fully onsite and maintain eligibility for access to Export Controlled Information (ECI)
Qualifications:- Mechanical or electromechanical design engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with CREO 10 (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings).
- Experience using DSR6 (or similar drawing/dimensioning release standards).
- Proficiency with EPDM or similar Product Data Management software.
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Ability to create accurate drawings, BOMs, and engineering design documentation.
- Ability to work onsite at one of the listed locations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
