Job Description:
The Data Science team at client is responsible for improving the merchant experience by building AI and Machine Learning (ML)-powered features into products. The team builds both AI/ML applications as well as the infrastructure required to scale these experiences.
As a successful Machine Learning Engineer, you will own and drive the architecture, design, development, and deployment of AI/ML products developed by the Data Science team for merchants.
What you will do:
- Leverage your AI/ML architectural design and development experience to build and deploy end-to-end, high-performance, customer-facing AI/ML applications.
- Research AI/ML techniques and incorporate them into the team's best practices and design patterns.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering counterparts to execute the AI/ML roadmap, user experience, and technical infrastructure.
What you will need to have:
- Industry experience developing end-to-end customer-facing AI/ML applications and infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in Python, REST APIs, AI/ML frameworks, modeling techniques, and model serving.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Snowflake), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis), object storage (e.g., GCS), vector databases, CI/CD tools (Docker, Jenkins), and serverless technologies (Cloud Run/Functions).
- Strong, internally motivated mindset with the ability to improve team capabilities in a thoughtful, iterative, and collaborative manner.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
