THE WORK:- You'll build a future-state E&D reinvention plan, clarifying processes, roles, and decision rights across Standards, Design, and Construction.
- You'll assess impacts across technology, workforce, and change readiness.
- You'll raise design accuracy, reduce rework, and implement quality gates and standardized templates.
- You'll create feedback loops between design, construction, and standards.
- You'll modernize the CU library, ensuring structure, naming, and alignment with field practices.
- You'll establish governance for standards and CU changes, supported by impact assessments and KPIs.
- You'll identify quick wins that reduce contractor spend and increase internal productivity.
- You'll streamline workflows and introduce tools that improve throughput and data accuracy.
- You'll evaluate EAM, estimating tools, CU libraries, and as-built systems, recommending enhancements that support modernized workflows.
- You'll improve data quality for labor, materials, services, and accounting/unitization.
- You'll manage adoption of new processes and tools through training, communication, and cross-functional engagement.
- You'll brief senior leadership on findings, recommendations, and progress.

- Labor and crew mix accuracy

- Services/tools verification
- Accounting/unitization alignment
- Redundant or unused CUs
- Structural and naming issues
- Misalignment with field practices
- Design vs. as-built variance
- Quantified financial, operational, and productivity benefits
- Value from accuracy improvements, governance, and reduced rework
- Improved design accuracy and lower rework
- Reduced contractor spend
- Increased E&D capacity
- Strong CU/standards governance with measurable KPIs
- A clear, quantified value case for long-term improvements
HERE IS WHAT YOU'LL NEED:- 8+ years in utility engineering, design, construction, or standards
- Experience with Underground Distribution preferred
- Strong process redesign and workflow optimization skills
- Familiarity with CU libraries, estimating, EAM/ERP, and as-built processes
- Ability to analyze data and develop KPIs
- Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills
- Degree in Engineering, Operations, or Construction Management; PE/PMP a plus
$90 - $100 an hour
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York or Washington as set forth below.
