We have an exciting
onsite work opportunity for a
Senior Engineer Compression Systems Aerodynamics at our Middletown, Connecticut location!
What You Will Do:- Create and assess aero designs for advanced gas turbine fans and compressors from the concept initiation phase, preliminary engine design phase, through detailed design, development, certification, manufacturing and post-certification.
- Perform airfoil and flowpath design, data analyses, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and optimization analyses. Emphasis is on analytical work and testing directed at the performance of compression system modules.
- Communicate technical progress and status to various program groups, senior management, and customers.
- Work with the Aero-Thermal Fluids (ATF) leadership team to define and execute technology plans, establish standard work methodologies and design system enhancements.
- Demonstrate leadership for the aerodynamics team providing Module Center and Program Systems support will be a critical skill for success.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and 5+ years of experience in aerodynamics applications; OR an advanced degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and 3+ years of experience in aerodynamics applications.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
