GIS Analyst Level 1

Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Length: 6+ Month W2 Contract

Hours: M-F 8-5 Onsite

Role Overview

We are seeking a GIS Analyst to assist in verifying, updating, and maintaining databases for city fee-owned properties, tax-foreclosed properties, and property leases. This role involves document research, data entry into a geodatabase, and quality control of GIS datasets based on address and legal descriptions. The position will support various property and asset management programs through detailed GIS work.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify, update, and maintain databases for city fee-owned properties, tax-foreclosed properties, and property leases.
• Geocode existing fee-owned properties in a GIS based on address locations or block and lot references, and update attribute records.
• Update ArcGIS Experience Builder applications as needed to visualize tax-foreclosed properties.
• Update GIS records to support the Lease Administration program.
• Create boundary features (easements, ROWs) using ArcGIS Pro based on KMZ/shapefile data and survey exhibits.
• Assist in creating and maintaining records in a GIS database for Mineral Management leases.
• Support the ongoing collection and data integrity of general fund facilities by maintaining GIS features.
• Assist with data maintenance of fuel sites across the city.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Public Administration, Planning, Real Estate, or a related discipline is required.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in GIS Data Editing.
• 2 years of experience in the interpretation of Land Records and Legal Descriptions.
• 1 year of experience in Data Input.
• 1 year of experience in Data Quality Control.
• 1 year of experience utilizing ArcGIS COGO and other tools to create polygon boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Easement/ROW Agent license.
• Experience with Property Lease Management, Mineral Management, or Oil and Gas Leases.
• Experience with GIS Database Management.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $33 and $35 an hour.
