Job Role: Mainframe Architect
Job Location: Mclean, VA (100% Onsite)
Job Duration: Long term
Note: Need 15+ years of experience resume.
Consultant needed to go to f2f for client round.
Technical skills:
- Design and develop scalable architecture solutions for the Cards & Payments domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Experience in Mainframe application development and maintenance activities with focus on resiliency and recovery of business applications
- Experience with both Batch and Online Mainframe processing systems.
- Strong expertise in Cobol, CICS, VSAM, JCL, DB2 and Mainframe API technologies
- Experience in migrating large scale legacy Mainframe applications to open source and distributed architectures
- Understanding of Distributed systems, Cloud computing and corresponding technologies especially Java and AWS
- Experience with Mainframe Tools and Utilities including FileAid, IBM Batch Utilities and ISPF/TSO menu functions
- Experience with Source Code/Version Control packages, such as Endevor.
- Experience with File Transfer Protocols, such as SFTP and NDM.
Administrative/Business Skills:
- Drive initiatives to modernize legacy systems, leveraging new technologies to enhance functionality and efficiency
- Develop comprehensive documentation for architecture designs, processes, and system configurations
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining the integrity and security of payment systems.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to integrate third-party solutions seamlessly into the architecture.
- Experience with Agile Project Methodologies including Jira
Bonus:
- DB2 RDBMS and maintenance experience (DBA tasks) is a Plus
- Experience with Mainframe SQL and Query Tools such as SPUFI is a Plus
- Experience in Mainframe administrative tasks and infrastructure provisioning is a Plus
- Understanding of Payment gateway and Credit card processing systems is a Plus
- Use of Team Collaboration/Knowledge Management Software such as Confluence is a Plus
- Use of Distributed Data Comparison Tools, such as Beyond Compare 5 is a Plus
