About the Role:

Praescient Analytics is hiring an AI/ML Engineer to lead the design, evaluation, deployment, and optimization of cutting-edge AI models in support of an Intelligence Community agency. In this role, you will advance the adoption of advanced foundational and frontier models (including LLMs and Computer Vision) to enhance data-driven mission pursuits.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, evaluate, and deploy production-ready AI/ML models and ensembles (including Generative AI, Computer Vision, NLP, classification, and prediction models).
  • Transition experimental AI research prototypes into scalable cloud computing environments with robust ETL pipelines and model maintenance.
  • Perform model tuning, benchmarking, experimentation, validation, and ethical AI evaluations.
  • Preprocess and clean large-scale unstructured datasets (such as text and imagery) to create training and evaluation datasets.
  • Ensure model explainability, interpretability, transparency, and fairness across deployed capabilities.
  • Collaborate with mission partners and analysts to execute experimental verification and document findings in publications, briefings, and code repositories.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a technical field.
  • AI/ML Programming: Minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing Python or R specifically for AI/ML development.
  • Cloud Architecture: Minimum of 5 years of cloud computing experience involving cloud-based AI/ML model execution and deployment.
  • Model Development: Minimum of 5 years of experience developing, tuning, validating, benchmarking, and maintaining AI/ML models.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
  • Experience with AI/ML explainability, interpretability techniques, and verification test benches.
  • Familiarity with web frameworks (Flask) and visualization tools (Tableau).
  • Expertise using GitHub for collaborative code management and version control.
  • Direct experience with Sponsor enterprise architectures, ICD security controls, and multi-cloud environments.
