Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) is a tool integrated into Oracle Applications Cloud to extract large volumes of data (bulk/incremental) for loading into data warehouses, data lakes, or third-party apps. It enables scheduling or on-demand extraction of predefined View Objects (PVOs) from ERP, SCM, HCM, and CX, typically storing data in OCI Object Storage.
Key Features and Capabilities:
Bulk & Incremental Loads: Efficiently handles initial, massive data extracts and subsequent updates.
Supported Storage: Configured to push data to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage, or other storage solutions.
Optimal Performance: Supports parallel processing (typically 8 threads is recommended) and file compression to reduce transfer times.
Flexible Scheduling: Offers on-demand or scheduled jobs.
Data Customization: Allows selecting specific data entities, applying filters, and managing custom offerings.
