Summary

FHL Bank of Chicago is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in payments, ACH, wire transfers, payment processing, APIs, and system integrations. The role will support a wire modernization/replacement initiative and serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, architects, developers, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Support payment-related initiatives involving:
• ACH
• Wire Transfers
• Payment Lifecycle Management
• Settlement & Reconciliation
• Work closely with architects and developers on:
• APIs
• System Integrations
• Data Flows
• Event-Driven Architecture
• Message Queues (Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ)
• Facilitate JAD sessions, stakeholder meetings, and Agile ceremonies.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, data mapping documents, release notes, and process diagrams.
• Support data migration, modernization, and integration projects.
• Write SQL queries for data analysis and validation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience.
• Strong experience with Payments, ACH, Wires, or Treasury Systems.
• Hands-on experience with API integrations and system interfaces.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with SQL, data mapping, and business process modeling.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business users and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Banking or Financial Services experience.
• Wire modernization or payment transformation projects.
• Knowledge of Fedwire, SWIFT, and ISO 20022.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms.

Ideal Candidate

A Senior BSA who understands the end-to-end payment lifecycle, has worked on ACH/Wire payment systems, can discuss API integrations and data flows with architects, and has experience supporting payment modernization and migration initiatives.
