Summary

Job Description (JD) – Field Printer Technician

Location- Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a Field Printer Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair printers at customer locations. The candidate should have basic technical knowledge of printers, good troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide onsite customer support.

Key Responsibilities

Install and configure printers at customer sites.
Diagnose and repair printer hardware and software issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
Replace faulty parts such as rollers, cartridges, drums, and fusers.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to USB, LAN, Wi-Fi, and network printing.
Support laser, inkjet, barcode, and multifunction printers.
Maintain service reports and update job status regularly.
Coordinate with customers regarding service schedules and issue resolution.
Ensure timely closure of service calls.
Follow company safety and service standards.

Required Skills

Basic understanding of printer hardware and networking.
Troubleshooting and repair skills.
Knowledge of Windows printer installation and driver configuration.
Familiarity with HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Xerox, or similar printers.
Good communication and customer handling skills.
Ability to travel for onsite support.

Qualifications

Diploma/ITI/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Hardware, IT, or related field.
0–3 years of experience in printer servicing or field support.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with barcode or thermal printers.
Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, network printer setup).
Experience in AMC/service support environments.
