  • Willingness to follow directions and package and ship around 40 computers a day
  • Ability to refurbish computers - essentially turn them on, make sure they work and can be shipped out (no technical experience needed)
  • Attention to detail - making sure they are printing the write labels, packaging the right equipment, and making sure they go to the right person
  • Ability to pull requests from a ticketing system (they use servicenow) but really just being able to stay on top of the requests coming in

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Deployment Technician to support the configuration, preparation, and shipment of computer equipment across the United States and Canada. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, can follow established processes, and takes pride in ensuring accuracy and quality.

Technical experience is not required. We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds who are comfortable learning new processes and working in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures to prepare computers and IT equipment for deployment.
• Unbox, inspect, and organize incoming hardware shipments.
• Reset, boot up, and configure computers according to documented instructions.
• Apply labels, asset tags, and shipping documentation accurately.
• Perform basic administrative and inventory-related tasks.
• Verify equipment quantities and ensure the correct devices are assigned for shipment.
• Conduct quality checks to confirm orders are complete and accurate.
• Assist with UPS shipping preparation and packaging activities.
• Support multiple deployment projects simultaneously.
• Work closely with a team of technicians in a large open-room production environment.
• Move between workstations and computer staging tables throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and established processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working on your feet and moving between workstations throughout the day.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn simple technical tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Work Environment

• Collaborative team environment consisting of approximately 6-7 team members, with 2-3 individuals focused on hardware assembly and configuration.
• Large open workspace where technicians work across multiple computer staging tables.

This role would be a great fit for someone with experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, production, assembly, shipping & receiving, retail technology, or entry-level IT support, not just traditional IT candidates
