SAIC has an immediate opening for a Network Engineer to support a highly dynamic and growing program with one of our US Government customers. You will be a part of a large multi-year contract that supports our customer in systems engineering and integration across a broad portfolio of projects. You will come into a program that enjoys a close working relationship with the customer, bringing exquisite technical expertise to bear on real world problems, helping the customer execute real world missions that impact National Security on a daily basis. This close relationship, along with the program's longevity (20 years), ensures that as a new team member you will find a depth of support for growth and development that is unmatched, all while making a difference - daily.

Your role in the program will focus on supporting the customer in the management of various on-premise systems and networks. You will work directly with the system as well as the development contractors that support the system integration. You will provide both general networking expertise to guide the development efforts and be the primary liaison between the customer and development contractors for all network issues. Communication skills are of key importance in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of new network routes and configurations to external organizations and their systems.
  • Network monitoring of on-prem and remote systems.
  • Troubleshooting and operations/maintenance of on-prem and remote mission network paths.
  • Documenting and developing specifications and detailed schematics for existing network architecture.
  • Conduct testing of network systems.
  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.


Qualifications

?Required:
  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly in order to be considered.
  • Experience maintaining and configuring CISCO firewalls.
  • Experience integrating enclave networks with enterprise networks.
  • Experience documenting an IT / networking infrastructure.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting network routes, tunnels and VPNs.
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience..

Desired:
  • Experience with cross-domain issues.
  • Experience with network multicast troubleshooting.
  • Experience with GitLab.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud.
  • Experience with CISCO FIREPOWER firewalls.
