job summary:
Develop code in Java using spring, spring batch, spring rest, Spring boot, drools including debugging existing code and crafting and implementing unit tests
Write PostgreSQL queries and functions in a sophisticated relational database environment.
Develop containerized, cloud native applications.
Build, update, and maintain user documentation for software-based projects and products.
Interact optimally with business partners to understand business requirements and assist in creation of technical requirements, including creating effective technical solutions to business problems.
Participate in architecture, technical design, and product implementation discussions.
Ensure quality in all work by following standard processes: structured and well-documented code, complete unit, functional and integration testing, complete user documentation, and code that meet business requirements.

responsibilities:
- 5+ years of development experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent knowledge of REST concepts and developing REST API's using Spring boot with Tomcat. Object-oriented analysis and design experience
- Excellent understanding of the Java capabilities, lambda, streams, and functional interfaces
- Excellent SQL and database concepts to work with large databases
- Good understanding of Cloud engineering concepts
- Good aptitude to quickly grasp newer concepts, learn on the fly and apply them in day-to-day work.
- Smart analytical skills to derive meaningful inferences from data sets and then apply those inferences to resolve business challenges.
- Ability to understand custom client data specs, apply them to the data feeds and understand the nuances where these data feeds differ from the Product standards. Detail these differences and work with SMEs / Other team members to solve these differences.
qualifications:
Experience in building and deploying applications served in the Cloud.
Strong micro services experience
Knowledge in crafting and developing Java/Spring RESTful APIs and experience coding with Java and Spring/Spring Boot framework.
Experience with infrastructure technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, MSSQL, DataDog).
Experience with SQL, Postgres, or MySQL or Oracle or MongoDB
Experience with Jenkins, Jenkins Core, UDeploy, Docker, GIT, GitHub
Experience with AWS or Azure (preferred).
Knowledge of authorization and authentication management
Prior design or architecture work
Ability to quickly translate business requirements into working features.
Quick learner and open to learning new tools and developing with the latest technologies/ frameworks.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work optimally with engineers, product managers and business partners.
