Enterprise Portfolio Architect to support the Network & Trade Rebates portfolio and provide senior-level architecture leadership across business and technology initiatives within that area.
The architect will evaluate new initiatives coming into the Network & Trade Rebates portfolio, determine their architectural impact and viability, and help business and IT leaders decide whether those initiatives should move forward into formal projects.
The role is not intended to be the detailed solution architect for every initiative. Instead, this person will provide high-level architectural direction, modernization strategy, enterprise alignment, and governance across the portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the senior architecture resource supporting the Network & Trade Rebates portfolio.
Evaluate new business and technology initiatives entering the portfolio.
Determine whether proposed initiatives are strategically and technically viable and whether they should move forward as projects.
Assess the impact of proposed initiatives across the business, applications, data, integrations, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
Work closely with both business and IT leaders to understand business goals, technology needs, constraints, risks, and dependencies.
Provide high-level architectural guidance and conceptual direction before detailed solution design begins.
Participate in recurring portfolio architecture meetings, architecture review boards, and governance activities.
Review the current-state architecture across the Network & Trade Rebates business areas.
Help define transition-state and future-state architecture.
Develop high-level architectural plans, roadmaps, and recommendations.
Identify legacy technology, technical debt, redundant capabilities, and modernization opportunities.
Ensure new projects and solutions align with Prime's enterprise architecture standards and broader technology strategy.
Guide modernization efforts at an enterprise level.
Help move applications and capabilities toward Prime's strategic cloud direction, with a significant emphasis on Google Cloud Platform.
Evaluate how existing applications, data, integrations, and business capabilities should evolve as part of modernization efforts.
Promote reusable and shared enterprise capabilities where appropriate.
Partner with Solution Architects, Application Architects, Data Architects, Enterprise Architects, engineering teams, and technology leadership.
Provide architectural guidance for initiatives involving vendors, clients, integrations, and shared enterprise capabilities.
