Job Responsibilities:
Design wire harness routings using Creo and Electric Lines/Pro Cabling for Large Mining Trucks
Supervise the design, development, and testing of the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting
Support the detailing and checking of prints
Prepare and present at design reviews
Perform 3D clearance checks
Apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards
Support engineering responsibilities such as cost rollups, FMEA, and APQP
Review and approve the cost effectiveness, reliability, and safety of certain design models
Ensure designs follow client design guides and best practices
Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards
Collaborate with suppliers
Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients
Supervise the simulation and testing of machine/structure/system operation and monitor product quality.
Required Education:
Degree: Bachelor's degree in an Accredited Engineering program (Mechanical or Electrical is preferred)
Level: Not open to associate degrees. Master's Degree and/or PhD can be considered
Experience: 8-10 years of experience required. (Internships do not count toward this requirement)
Required Skills:
CAD Proficiency: Extensive Mechanical and/or Electrical Product design experience using Creo, Teamcenter, and/or Fluid lines (Pro Cabling)
Electrical Harness Design: Specific experience in Electrical Harness Design (hydraulic integration design could also be considered as an alternative)
Blueprint Literacy: Experience in reading electrical drawings and schematics.
