Summary

Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support complex identity and access management initiatives in Evanston, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position requires a strong leader who can coordinate technical teams, keep delivery on track, and maintain clear communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a structured project approach, strong knowledge of Agile practices, and the ability to guide Active Directory, organizational identity, and Entra ID engineering efforts.

Responsibilities:
Direct project planning and execution for identity-focused initiatives, ensuring timelines, scope, and deliverables remain aligned with business objectives.
Lead coordination across Active Directory, organizational identity, and Entra ID engineering teams to drive progress and resolve delivery challenges.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, monitor sprint outcomes, and promote effective collaboration among technical and business participants.
Use Jira to track milestones, action items, risks, and dependencies while maintaining accurate project visibility for stakeholders.
Manage stakeholder communication by providing status updates, escalating issues when needed, and supporting informed decision-making.
Oversee project documentation, governance materials, and reporting to ensure consistency and accountability throughout the engagement.
Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adjust plans proactively to support successful delivery.
Support technical initiatives involving identity-related changes or transition activities as part of overall project execution.

Requirements

Proven experience leading IT projects in a project manager or senior consultant capacity.
Strong working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application in technical environments.
PMP certification is required or strongly preferred based on comparable project leadership experience.
Hands-on experience using Atlassian Jira for project tracking, workflow management, and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional technical teams and coordinate multiple workstreams effectively.
Familiarity with identity and access management environments, including Active Directory and Entra ID.
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills in fast-paced project settings.
