Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on automotive weldments using ultrasonic testing

(UT) equipment.
  • Analyze weld penetration, fusion, and integrity of ultrasonic signals to identify internal flaws

without damaging the parts.
  • Interpret weld symbols and engineering blueprints to ensure all critical joints meet design

specifications.
  • Calibrate and maintain ultrasonic probes, transducers, and testing machinery.
  • Generate detailed quality reports and collaborate with the Weld Supervisor to optimize weld

parameters based on findings.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • Technical background in quality inspection and welding.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data/waveforms.
  • High degree of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work within a moderate to loud manufacturing environment.

Nice to Haves:

  • Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (NDT Level I or II).
  • Experience with MIG/TIG welding processes or weld metallurgy.
  • Experience in a Tier 1 automotive prototype or production environment.
