Job DetailsKey Responsibilities
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on automotive weldments using ultrasonic testing
(UT) equipment.
- Analyze weld penetration, fusion, and integrity of ultrasonic signals to identify internal flaws
without damaging the parts.
- Interpret weld symbols and engineering blueprints to ensure all critical joints meet design
specifications.
- Calibrate and maintain ultrasonic probes, transducers, and testing machinery.
- Generate detailed quality reports and collaborate with the Weld Supervisor to optimize weld
parameters based on findings.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must Haves:
- Technical background in quality inspection and welding.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data/waveforms.
- High degree of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to work within a moderate to loud manufacturing environment.
Nice to Haves:
- Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (NDT Level I or II).
- Experience with MIG/TIG welding processes or weld metallurgy.
- Experience in a Tier 1 automotive prototype or production environment.
