Role Summary
We are seeking a Civil Engineering professional with experience in the nuclear power generation industry to support advanced structural analysis activities.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and experience with specialized engineering tools. This role requires a solid foundation in seismic engineering and finite element methods to support complex project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis of concrete and steel structures using finite element methods.
- Conduct seismic structural analyses for nuclear-related applications.
- Work with applicable industry codes and standards including:
- ASCE 43
- ASCE 4
- ACI 349 & 318
- ASCE 7
- IBC
- AISC N690
- Steel Construction Manual
- Seismic Design Manual
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Proficiency in ANSYS APDL (Required)
- Civil engineering experience (Required)
- Strong experience in seismic structural analysis
- Experience in analysis and design of concrete, steel, and composite structures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AISC / N690
- Programming skills (e.g., MATLAB or Python) preferred but not required
- P.E. (U.S.) or P.Eng. (Canada) certification preferred
