Summary
Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
System Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Lead requirements elicitation and clarification (SYS.1); translate stakeholder needs into mature, testable system requirements using tools like DOORS/Polarion.
- Perform infotainment system bring-ups at bench and vehicle level; execute tests, support debugging, and verify end?to?end system functionality.
- Create and mature system test plans; conduct pre?verification events and evaluation drives from a system integration perspective.
- Analyze vehicle/bench logs to assess software performance; identify, report, and track defects to closure.
- Act as the central interface between customers and cross?functional R&D teams (SW, HW, Components, Application); coordinate infotainment requirements and milestones.
- Utilize automotive tools and protocols (e.g., CANoe, GENy, CAN/LIN/Ethernet, SPI) and apply embedded ECU fundamentals (MCU peripherals, memory, low?level drivers) in daily system engineering activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Computer, Automotive, or related discipline).
- 5-12 years of experience in automotive systems engineering, infotainment domain, or embedded system development.
- Strong expertise in automotive infotainment systems, including requirement management, system bring?up, validation, and embedded ECU fundamentals.
- Hands?on experience with automotive tools and protocols such as Vector CAN tools (CANoe/GENy), CAN/LIN/Ethernet, and proficiency in DOORS/Polarion for requirement tracking.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $60.00 per hour
