Job Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to support production rollout activities, mechanical design enhancements, supplier coordination, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CAD design, technical drawings, component sourcing, and troubleshooting production issues in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for production and assembly initiatives.
  • Create, modify, and maintain 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for part sourcing, manufacturing, and procurement activities.
  • Identify and qualify new vendors for mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Support environmental testing and product validation efforts.
  • Develop inventory structures for new parts and assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing, production, and assembly-related issues.
  • Travel to assembly and production locations as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience; OR equivalent technical education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Strong experience with Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD tools.
  • Ability to create and interpret technical drawings.
  • Understanding of mechanical tolerancing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and hands-on engineering skills.
