Title: Sitecore Developer / Administrator

Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (4 Months)
Interview: Technical phone screen followed with video and final onsite.

Position Overview

The program is a strategic, multi-year initiative focused on transforming the company's digital customer experience across web and mobile platforms. This initiative will modernize digital capabilities and introduce several new technology platforms including:

  • Web Experience Management (WEM)
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Customer Preference Management
  • Live Chat and Survey Platforms
  • API-based integration with backend systems
  • Cloud-enabled infrastructure

This role will play a key part in supporting and maintaining the high-availability Sitecore CMS environment, as well as assisting with development, monitoring, and operational support of related digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Sitecore Platform Administration

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain the Sitecore CMS environment to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Work with infrastructure and monitoring teams to ensure the platform remains healthy and properly sized to meet business needs.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and environment maintenance.

Development & Platform Support

  • Develop and maintain code supporting the Web Experience Management platform.
  • Build and maintain Sitecore forms and components.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members regarding Sitecore development and administration.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Work with enterprise monitoring tools such as Splunk or Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.
  • Identify root causes and resolve issues in production environments.

Environment Management & Automation

  • Drive configuration management and automated build processes.
  • Ensure controlled and successful migrations between development, test, and production environments.
  • Support hybrid environments including both on-premise and cloud infrastructure.

Operational & Vendor Support

  • Work with vendors to configure and install third-party products.
  • Support and maintain vendor packages in production environments.
  • Prepare application changes and develop contingency plans for production releases.

Disaster Recovery & Operational Readiness

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Support operational readiness and ensure systems transition smoothly into production support.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Strong experience supporting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software platforms
  • Experience with Sitecore CMS administration and support
  • Proven ability to maintain and monitor mission-critical enterprise systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and industry best practices
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sitecore Certification
  • Experience with .NET development
  • Experience designing and supporting high-availability environments
  • Experience in complex enterprise environments with hybrid infrastructure (on-premise and cloud)
  • Experience integrating enterprise monitoring tools such as:
    • Splunk
    • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager
  • Experience supporting Identity & Access Management systems and APIs
  • At least 2 years of experience implementing technology to support business processes
