Data Architect - (ADF/SQL)

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture Design: Define the enterprise data architecture strategy, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources (e.g., SAP, other databases, APIs) into data storage systems.
• Database Management & Optimization: Architect and manage databases and data warehouses, with a focus on Azure SQL Database and SQL Server. This includes performance tuning, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing database objects like stored procedures and functions.
• Data Storage & Modeling: Select and manage appropriate data storage solutions (e.g., Azure Data Lake, data warehouses) and implement effective data modeling techniques, such as star/snowflake schemas or Medallion Architecture, for analytics and reporting.
• Governance & Security: Implement data governance frameworks, security measures (RBAC, encryption), data quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical specifications, process documentation, and data flow diagrams.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: At least 10+ years in data engineering or architecture roles, with specific experience as an Azure Data Architect.

Technical Proficiency:

• Deep expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL is essential.
• Hands-on experience with other Azure services like Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, especially Python or PySpark.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Knowledge of data governance tools, such as Microsoft Purview, is a plus.

Education: A Bachelor''''s or Master''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical for stakeholder management and presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
