Summary

Google Cloud Architect Position description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Platform Solution Architect with strong expertise in design and architecture on Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building fault-tolerant, scalable solutions for multiple clients and will be responsible from sales to delivery pitch. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying cloud native solutions and also mentor existing client resources on multiple initiatives that are in different stages of implementation).

JD:
Client Advisory & Consulting
  1. Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cloud strategy, architecture, and modernization
  2. Lead client workshops to assess current-state architecture and define future-state Google Cloud Platform solutions
  3. Translate business objectives into cloud-native and hybrid Google Cloud Platform architectures
  4. Provide architectural governance and ensure adherence to client standards
Solution Architecture & Delivery
  1. Design end-to-end Google Cloud Platform architectures covering compute, data, networking, security, and DevOps
  2. Define cloud migration and modernization approaches (re-host, re-platform, re-architect)
  3. Architect solutions using GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and related services
  4. Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (security, performance, resilience, cost)
  5. Review designs, code, and infrastructure for quality and best practices
Presales & Thought Leadership
  1. Support presales activities including solutioning, effort estimation, and proposal responses
  2. Contribute to RFPs/RFIs, architecture decks, and client presentations
  3. Provide technical leadership during bid pursuits and client demos
  4. Contribute to our client's cloud accelerators, reference architectures, and best practices
Governance, Security & Optimization
  1. Define IAM models, security controls, logging, monitoring, and compliance frameworks
  2. Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
  3. Drive cost optimization (FinOps) and operational excellence
  4. Support audits, security reviews, and production readiness
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required
  1. 8+ years of IT experience with 3-5 years in cloud architecture/consulting roles
  2. Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform
  3. Experience working in client-facing consulting engagements
  4. In-depth knowledge of:
  5. Google Cloud Platform Compute: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run
  6. Data & Analytics: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL
  7. Networking & Security: VPC, IAM, Load Balancing, KMS
  8. Strong experience with Kubernetes, containers, and microservices
  9. Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  10. Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification
  2. Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  3. Exposure to regulated industries (Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Government, Telecom)
  4. Experience with DevSecOps, SRE, or FinOps practices
