Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Mainframe Storage Support Administrator with strong expertise in enterprise storage utilities and mainframe storage operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with storage pools, volume lifecycle management, and core mainframe technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain mainframe storage environments and related utilities.
Manage storage pools and oversee volume lifecycle operations.
Work with mainframe storage concepts, including catalogs and aliases.
Execute and interpret MVS commands.
Develop and maintain JCL and TSO scripts, including REXX and CLIST.
Support and maintain environments utilizing IBM GDPS.
Administer and support IBM DS8000 (DS8K) storage systems.
Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of DFHSM, DFSMS, FDR, MVSRM, and related storage utilities.
Experience with storage pools and volume lifecycle operations.
Solid understanding of mainframe storage architecture and concepts.
Proficiency with MVS commands, JCL, TSO, and REXX/CLIST scripting.
Familiarity with GDPS and IBM DS8K storage systems.
Ability and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
