IT Core Services Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking an IT Core Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Core Services team
* Establish team goals, drive accountability, and support career development
* Partner with technology and business leaders to align priorities and deliver results
* Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Infrastructure & Operations:
* Oversee enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, middleware, and core technology platforms
* Ensure the availability, performance, security, and scalability of critical systems
* Lead incident management, problem resolution, and operational excellence initiatives
* Monitor service health and implement proactive improvements to reduce risk and downtime

Cloud & Platform Modernization:
* Drive cloud adoption and infrastructure modernization efforts
* Develop and execute strategies to improve automation, resiliency, and operational efficiency
* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support business objectives
* Champion modern engineering practices, including Infrastructure as Code and platform automation

Engineering & Automation:
* Lead the design and implementation of automated infrastructure and deployment solutions
* Partner with development teams to improve CI/CD processes and platform reliability
* Reduce manual effort through process optimization and automation
* Support enterprise-wide initiatives related to DevOps, platform engineering, and cloud operations

Collaboration & Strategic Delivery:
* Serve as a key stakeholder across infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams
* Support architecture reviews, technology roadmaps, and strategic initiatives
* Ensure compliance with security, operational, and regulatory requirements
* Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 7+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or enterprise technology operations
* 1-3+ years of formal people leadership experience, including direct management responsibilities
* Experience supporting complex, highly available production environments
* Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems
* Hands-on experience with Azure and hybrid cloud environments
* Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible
* Proven ability to lead technical teams while remaining hands-on with solution design and implementation
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
