| Job Description Senior IT Project Manager Location: Arlington, VA Work Type: 100% Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent (Direct Hire) Relocation: Relocation support provided About the Role Our direct client, a company in the Energy domain, is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join their team in Arlington, VA. This is a full-time, permanent, 100% onsite position responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the technology tools and systems that support the organization's business operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing technology projects within an energy facility or related industrial environment, along with a strong background in EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) project execution. Key Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and maintain the tools and systems utilized across the organization.
- Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate and select solutions, and design/implement business-driven technology applications and tools.
- Own full project management responsibility, including financial and budget management, and control of project costs.
- Manage the scope, design, development, and implementation of applications, software components, and tools that integrate into existing business systems.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
- Direct and collaborate with technical professionals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conceptualize, document, and present technology solutions to senior management.
- Identify and deliver projects using leading-edge technology where appropriate.
Required Qualifications - 8+ years of experience solving business problems with technology solutions within an energy facility or related industry.
- EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) experience required - must understand how to design, plan, and execute a project from start to finish.
- Strong technical skills with demonstrated ability to direct technical professionals.
- Proven ability to recommend, design, and implement technology solutions in a timely, cost-effective manner.
- Demonstrated skill in conceptualizing solutions, documenting them, and presenting/"selling" them to senior management.
- Ability to develop and deliver projects using leading-edge technology.
Preferred Qualifications - PMP Certification preferred.
