Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced M365 Collaboration Architect to lead the migration and integration of Microsoft 365 collaboration services from acquired company tenants into a large enterprise parent tenant. The role involves designing and executing cross-tenant migrations for Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive while maintaining seamless collaboration between users across both environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the discovery and assessment of existing Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, mail routing, tenant policies, and file shares.

  • Design cross-tenant migration strategies, including mail routing, coexistence, migration waves, and cutover planning.

  • Implement cross-tenant collaboration using B2B, cross-tenant synchronization, free/busy sharing, and Teams federation.

  • Manage migration of Exchange Online mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint sites, and OneDrive data.

  • Assess the impact of Microsoft Purview policies, including retention, DLP, and eDiscovery, during tenant consolidation.

  • Identify dependencies involving shared mailboxes, line-of-business applications, identity, and network infrastructure.

  • Perform hands-on migrations using Quest On Demand Migration.

  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.

  • Lead and coordinate a team of 2–3 engineers throughout migration planning and execution.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, and migration.

  • Proven experience owning and delivering cross-tenant M365 migrations into large enterprise production environments.

  • Strong expertise in Exchange Online, Exchange Hybrid, and mail routing.

  • Hands-on experience with Quest On Demand Migration.

  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, including retention, DLP, and eDiscovery.

  • Strong PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API automation skills.

  • Experience with Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive migrations.

  • Strong understanding of tenant coexistence and cutover strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams telephony migration.

  • Exposure to ShareGate, BitTitan, or AvePoint migration tools.

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or Enterprise Administrator Expert certification.

  • Previous experience leading engineers in enterprise migration projects.
