Job Title: Sales Program Manager

Job Type: Fulltime

Job Location: Cupertino, CA

Work Schedule: Onsite

Salary: 150k to 160k, Based on experience

 

We are looking for an talented Sales and Program Leader with extensive experience working with the Bay Area s top customers to join our talented and growing team in Cupertino. This person will require strong customer relationship building to handle high level negotiations including ramp planning, pricing and allocation issues along with resolving other high level challenges that impacts our company s bottom line. This role will become the true voice of our customers and work closely with our cross fuctional team leadership and management teams in China to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction in a very competitive business environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a cross-functional team leader and lead global cross-functional teams to drive program success.
  • Be the escalation contact for any program management or business related issues.
  • Build close customer relationships with key customer leaders within their engineering program management (EPM) team and Global Supply Managers (GSM) team.
  • Oversee and track customer build schedules and communicate with the factory to ensure all project deliverables and milestones meet targets.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, interdependencies, and program issues and risks.
  • Ability to quickly identify and mitigate program risks.
  • Coordinate resources as required to complete projects.
  • Be the main point of contact for all commercial topics such as quotes, purchase orders, invoices, etc.
  • Work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Work closely with customers global supply team for price and delivery considerations.
  • Be available as needed to assist customers and colleagues even outside of normal business hours.
  • Take ownership to see project success, even without direct or ultimate authority.
  • Drive CTB, ramp plans, ramp readiness reviews, etc. to meet customer expectations.

  • Coordinate and support customer visits to the factory (primarily in China) and ensure all discussion topics are covered efficiently and effectively.
  • Travel internationally (primarily to China) about 6 times yearly to assist with customer visits a become a trusted advisor for customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering (business degree/MBA is a plus)
  • Total work experience: 10+ years.
  • Direct work experience in consumer electronics: 7+ years.
  • Program Management experience: 5+ years.
  • Led a team of program managers and/or sales managers
  • Ability to understand complex mechanical assemblies, especially devices for the consumer electronic industry.
  • Clear understanding of entire process required to develop a mechanical assembly or design from initial samples to mass production.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills with the ability to take longhand and shorthand notes during meetings. Including computer literate, especially with Mac OS and Excel.
  • Very well organized, both in the digital world and the real world.
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing. Comfortable in communicating with all levels of employees and management.
  • Cunning communication skills to understand how to craft and deliver your message to get the best desirable outcome.
  • Curious, relaxed, and competent to engage in frequent, high value, negotiations.
  • Experience working and traveling to factories in China.
